Plastic Lid Thermoforming Machine

Product Overview

Our Plastic Lid Thermoforming Machine is a professional automatic forming equipment specially developed for producing disposable plastic lids, which is perfectly matched with plastic cup production lines. It adopts positive air pressure forming technology, mainly used to process plastic sheets into various specifications of plastic lids, compatible with PP, PS, PET and other common plastic materials. It can produce lids for disposable drinking cups, milk tea cups, yogurt cups and other products, and can be seamlessly connected with plastic sheet extruders, plastic cup thermoforming machines and printing machines to form an integrated production line of "sheet extrusion - lid forming - printing - matching". It is widely used in food, beverage, catering and other industries, and is the core equipment for mass production of disposable plastic lids.

Main Structure & Components

The machine adopts modular design, with clear division of labor, stable operation and easy maintenance, The core components include:

1. Positive Air Pressure Forming System

As the core part of the whole machine, it is composed of an air pressure cylinder, a pressure regulating valve and a lid forming mold. The plastic sheet is pressed into the shape of a cup lid by positive air pressure. The air pressure can be flexibly adjusted according to the thickness of the sheet and the size of the cup lid, ensuring that the formed lid has uniform thickness, regular shape, smooth surface and no burrs, and perfectly matches the corresponding plastic cup.

2. Sheet Feeding System

It can stably convey plastic sheets of different thicknesses to the forming station, realizing automatic feeding without manual operation. The conveying speed is adjustable, which is consistent with the forming speed, ensuring continuous and stable production.

3. Electric Control System

Adopting PLC programmable controller and touch screen operation interface, it is equipped with frequency conversion speed regulation, fault alarm and overload protection functions. All production parameters such as feeding speed, forming time and heating temperature can be set and adjusted with one key. The operation is simple and easy to learn, which is suitable for operators of different levels and ensures safe and stable production.

4. Lid Stacking Device

Specially matched with the lid forming machine,it is directly conveyed to the stacking device through the conveyor belt. The device automatically sorts and stacks the cup lids neatly, which is convenient for packaging and matching with plastic cups, saving manual sorting time.

5. Heating System

Composed of a segmented heating plate, a temperature control sensor and a heat insulation layer, it is used to heat the plastic sheet to the optimal softening temperature . The segmented heating design ensures uniform heating of the sheet, avoids local overheating or insufficient heating, and ensures that the sheet has good plasticity, laying a foundation for high-precision forming of the cup lid.

Working Principle

The machine adopts the positive air pressure forming principle, which is consistent with the working logic of the plastic cup thermoforming machine, and the whole production process is fully automatic without manual intervention. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Sheet Feeding: Put the plastic sheet (PP/PS/PET) into the heating part, and the sheet feeding system stably conveys the sheet to the positive air pressure forming station at a uniform speed, ensuring that the sheet is conveyed stably without deviation.

2. Sheet Heating: The segmented heating system heats the plastic sheet to the corresponding softening temperature according to the sheet material, so that the sheet becomes soft and plastic, which is convenient for subsequent positive air pressure forming.

3. Positive Air Pressure Forming: The positive air pressure forming system injects stable high-pressure air into the mold, and uses air pressure to press the softened plastic sheet into the cup lid forming mold, so that the sheet is closely attached to the mold surface, and the cup lid shape (including lid edge, buckle and other structures) is formed in one step.

4. Cooling Shaping: After the cup lid is formed, the air cooling device quickly cools the cup lid, so that the softened plastic sheet is solidified and shaped, ensuring that the cup lid maintains its shape and does not deform, and ensuring the dimensional accuracy of the cup lid.

5. Lid Stacking: The formed cup lid is conveyed to the lid stacking device through the conveyor belt, and the stacking device automatically sorts and stacks the cup lids neatly, which is convenient for subsequent printing, packaging and matching with plastic cups, completing the whole production process of the plastic lid.

Main Features

Adopt positive air pressure forming technology, with stable operation and high forming precision, ensuring that the cup lid has uniform thickness, regular shape, smooth surface and no burrs, and perfectly matches the corresponding plastic cup.

Full automatic operation: Integrate sheet feeding, heating, forming and stacking, no manual intervention in the whole process, save labor cost and improve production efficiency, which is suitable for large-scale mass production.

Strong compatibility: It is compatible with PP, PS, PET and other plastic sheets, and can produce cup lids of various specifications . It can be perfectly connected with plastic sheet extruders, plastic cup thermoforming machines and printing machines to form an integrated production line.

Modular design: The whole machine adopts modular structure, which is easy to disassemble, assemble and maintain. The key components are wear-resistant and durable, and the service life of the whole machine is long.

Customizable: The forming mold can be customized according to the size, shape and structure of the plastic cup, and the forming parameters can be adjusted flexibly to meet the personalized production needs of different customers.

Energy-saving and efficient: The segmented heating system has high thermal efficiency and low energy consumption; the frequency conversion speed regulation technology can adjust the production speed according to the demand, further saving energy and reducing production costs.
